NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers will look to clinch the Pelican Cup on Tuesday when they head uptown to face the Tulane Green Wave at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The Privateers are coming off a sweep against UNC Asheville, which was finished off with a 3-2 win on Sunday.
Zach Longshore struck out 11 batters in five innings and
Bryce Calloway picked up his eighth save of the year in the victory.
New Orleans (19-15) won the first meeting against the Green Wave 7-6 at Maestri Field on Mar. 25.
Bryan Loriga hit two home runs in the contest while Calloway hit a homer and picked up the save.
Collin Husser has a hit in 11 of his last 13 appearances and he delivered a two-run single to get the scoring started in a 3-2 victory on Sunday against UNC Asheville. Half of Husser's hits this season (14 of 28) have gone for extra bases and he's hitting .326 on the year.
Calloway moved his batting average up to .415 for the season after he went 9-for-14 last week. Calloway is looking to become just the seventh Privateer to hit at least .400 in a single season and the first since Michael Epping (2006). The single season batting average record is .417 held by Kevin McGann (1980).
The Privateers had an excellent week on the mound helping lead the charge to a 4-0 mark. Privateer pitchers had 37 strikeouts to just 13 walks while pitching to a 2.25 ERA. Opponents had a batting average of .202 against New Orleans pitching.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Tulane went 2-1 over the weekend as they won the series finale 8-7 against UAB. The Green Wave have a 23-14 record overall and are 7-5 in American Athletic Conference play.
Matthias Haas is seventh in the country in doubles with 17 and is one of two regular starters for the Green Wave hitting over .300. Sauer, who will start on the mound last pitched on Tuesday, Apr. 8 against Southeastern and gave up two runs in two innings of work. His longest outing of the season was 3.1 innings with one run allowed against Pepperdine.
