Three Privateers Earn Spot on All-Southland Postseason Team

FRISCO, Texas – Three Privateers made the All-Southland Postseason Team for the 2025 campaign. Bryce Calloway earned First Team honors as a utility player. Tristan Moore and Grant Edwards each made an appearance on the Second Team as the honors were announced on Wednesday.

Calloway is near the top of the board in several offensive categories in the Southland this season. That includes batting average (third), slugging percentage (third), RBI (tied for second), runs (fourth) and home runs (tied for third).

This season, Calloway is hitting .378 with a .676 slugging percentage, 14 homers and 55 RBI. His slugging percentage would currently tie the fifth highest mark by a Privateer in a single season in program history. Add to that, his eight saves and two wins on the mound while pitching to a 3.27 ERA and a .993 fielding percentage at first base.

Moore posted double-digit homers in his second stint with the Privateers as he did in 2023. This year, Moore is at 10 homers with 40 RBI and a .295 batting average. He has 29 career round trippers, which ranks ninth in program history for a career.

This season, the senior outfielder had 13 multi-hit games and 10 games with two or more RBI. Both of those totals ranked second on the team. He also tied the longest hitting streak by a Privateer this season with 11 games.

Edwards made the jump to being the Friday night starter and dotted the conference in several pitching categories. His 91 strikeouts ranked second in the league and was 15 clear of third place Peyton Havard. He also ranked fourth in innings pitched and ninth in opponent batting average.

The senior pitcher had three games with double digit strikeouts including a career-high 11 on two occasions against Northwestern State and Lamar. He also threw at least six innings in nine of his 13 starts on the year.

New Orleans has had at least three representatives on the All-Southland Team every year (excluding 2020) since the 2016 season. The Privateers had at least one First Team selection in each of the last four seasons.

Armani Raygoza (UTRGV) won Player of the Year. Lamar's Damian Ruiz won Hitter of the Year. Brennan Stuprich (Southeastern) won Pitcher of the Year while his teammate, Brady St. Pierre won Relief Pitcher of the Year. Bobby Barbier (Southeastern) won Coach of the Year. Victor Loa (UTRGV) won Newcomer of the Year and Cermodrick Bland (Stephen F. Austin) won Freshman of the Year.
