The game was tied 1-1 with Nicholls batting in the top of the fifth inning. Jaden Collura will face a 1-0 count when play resumes on Saturday.
The Colonels opened the scoring when Narvin Booker singled through the right side to lead off the game and was later brought home on a two-out RBI single by Collura to make the score 1-0.
New Orleans responded in the third inning.
Karson Evans got on base via an error and was bunted over to second by
Collin Loupe. He later scored on an
Alexander Saunier double down the left field line.
Stay tuned for any further weather updates throughout the weekend. Live audio will be available on unoprivateers.com for the remainder of the series.
