NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers will end a 10-game road trip in Mobile when they take on the South Alabama Jaguars on Tuesday at Stanky Field. First pitch is slated for 4:05 p.m.

The Privateers were swept over the weekend against Southeastern after losing the series finale 7-5. It was the first time since 2022 a team was swept in the series between the two sides.
New Orleans has a team slugging percentage of .448 coming into play. They are one of three teams in the Southland who are currently at 50 doubles for the year and they also have 36 home runs after hitting six in Hammond. Their 461 total bases are the most in the Southland thus far.
Kruise Newman hit two home runs over the weekend, driving his season total to eight. He is tied for second in the Southland in homers this year with Caston Thompson (Nicholls) and Cole Tabor (UIW). Armani Raygoza (UTRGV) leads the league in home runs with 10.
Brock Hill turned in his fourth consecutive scoreless outing on Saturday against Southeastern. The senior transfer from UAB threw 6.1 innings without giving up a run in the month of March.
Evan Rogers and
Owen Smith lead a Privateer squad that has 36 stolen bases on the year. Smith has nine steals in 10 attempts while Rogers has eight steals in the same number of attempts.
The Privateers have won four straight games against the Jaguars dating back to 2023. That ties the longest winning streak by New Orleans in the all-time series since 1995. The Privateers had a stretch of four straight wins against the Jaguars from 2007-08.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
South Alabama will be starting former Privateer,
Hayden O'Dell. This season, O'Dell has pitched to a 1-1 record with a 5.96 ERA in six starts. Blake Guerin has 10 home runs and 31 RBI, and he leads the team in both categories. Brennon Wright is hitting .398 through 103 at-bats this season.
