THIBODAUX, La. – The New Orleans Privateers' scheduled Friday contest against Nicholls has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather. There will now be a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 3 p.m. The series finale has been adjusted to a 3 p.m. start time on Sunday.
The Privateers come into the weekend two games back of the final slot in the conference tournament. After the weekend at Nicholls, the Privateers return home to face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
This is the second consecutive year a series opener against Nicholls has been affected by weather. Last year, the Privateers and Colonels played four innings before their series opener was suspended and resumed the next day.
