BATON ROUGE, La. – The No. 29 ranked LSU men's tennis team defeated the University of New Orleans 6-1 on Sunday night at W.T. “Dub” Robinson Stadium.
The win was the second on the day for a LSU (6-2) team which defeated No. 12 Texas A&M 4-3 earlier in the afternoon.
Playing their first match since a Feb. 8 victory against Alcorn State, UNO (1-2) was swept in all three doubles' matches.
The Tigers' greatest difficulty came at the No. 2 position where Roger Anderson and Chris Simpson rallied from behind to defeat
Yoshikazu Ysa and
David Malmgren 8-7.

Dominik Kardell and
Vinay Kamineni 8-2. The action was the first for Kamineni since Apr. 10, 2011 as injuries have held the UNO junior out of play this season.
The Tigers' clinched the dual with a win on the No. 4 court where Anderson defeated Malmgren 6-4, 6-3.
LSU won the remaining matches in straight sets, including Skupski's 6-2, 6-1 victory over
Ricardo Campos at No. 1, Simpson defeating
Hossam Meligy 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2. and Tom Knights 6-1, 6-0 win over Ysa at No. 4. The other win came from David Roberts by a 6-2, 6-3 score over Kardell at No. 5.
