UNO Baseball's Wednesday Game at Stillman Postponed

Rain Postpones the Contest with Head Coaches to Determine Make-up Date

Updated UNO Baseball Schedule
Preview of UNO's Tuesday Contest against Spring Hill

NEW ORLEANS – University of New Orleans head baseball coach Bruce Peddie announced on Tuesday morning that Wednesday's scheduled contest at Stillman College has been postponed due to inclement weather in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Tiger Baseball Field had already taken on significant rain with more scheduled over the next 24 hours.

Wednesday's rainout is the sixth in the month of February for Stillman, who had three games washed out against Loyola (N.O.) at the beginning of the season and two more against Tampa two weeks ago. It is the first postponement for UNO.

Peddie and his Stillman counterpart Donny Crawford anticipated deciding on a make-up date within the next few days.

The UNO baseball team is off to a 6-2 start to the 2012 season and is scheduled to host Spring Hill at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Maestri Field.  The Privateers will follow the single game against the Badgers with a three-game series starting on Saturday at 2011 NCAA Division II national champion West Florida.

Any additional updates will be posted on UNOPrivateers.com as they become available.
