NEW ORLEANS – With the 2017 season winding down, the University of New Orleans baseball team plays its final game in New Orleans, as the Privateers take on Tulane at Turchin Stadium on Tuesday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m.
This will be the second meeting between the two sides this season, with the Privateers prevailing back on April 4, 9-5 behind a three-hit outing by junior catcher
John Cable and a four-RBI game for junior
Chase Crump.
"We beat [Tulane] last time, so they are going to have some energy," head coach
Blake Dean said. "They have been playing better lately, their hitters are finding their swings and sending the ball out of the park so I expect them to put some runs up at their ballpark. We are going to have to go there and play our game and continue to hit the ball like we have the past couple weeks. We have a big weekend series on deck so we are going to throw a lot of pitchers tomorrow. We can't afford to let [Christopher] DeMayo have an extended outing against Tulane, we are going to need him against Northwestern State."
