NEW ORLEANS – For the second time this season, the University of New Orleans (7-9) will take on Southern University (5-9) at Maestri Field Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Game one went to the Privateers 14-3.

UNO's bats was the story, exploding for 14 runs on 11 hits in the win.

John Thomas Mauldin and 
Beau Bratton led the offensive barrage with two hits apiece. 
Jacob McFadden hit his first homer on the season and finished 1-3 with three ribbies and a pair of runs scored.
 
ABOUT NEW ORLEANS
After a slow start to his freshman campaign, 
Pearce Howard has come on as of late and has improved his batting average to .314 with one homer, four RBI (three against SLU) and seven runs scored. 
Darren Willis is leading the team in the batting average department at .371.

Rafe Schindler to the mound for his first appearance of the season.
 
ABOUT SOUTHERN
The Jags are led at the dish by Tyler LaPorte's .370 clip with 10 RBI, three double, a triple and 10 runs scored. Michael Wright and Javeyan Williams are 8-11 in stealing bases this season.
 
Southern will counter with a righty of their own in the form of Daniel Franklin. Franklin in his three starts has a 2.41 ERA in 18.2 innings of work and a team leading 16 K's on the year.
