NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers baseball season is two weeks away and there are a lot of newcomers that fans will become familiar with as the 2025 progresses from its starting point on Feb. 14 at West Georgia.
In our two-part series, the second will focus on those student-athletes who joined directly from other NCAA schools via the transfer portal.
"We are really pumped about the portal class we brought in this year," said Coach
Phillip Hurst. "In today's landscape it is important to identify the players who can have an impact on your team and we feel like we did that. We have 4 guys that come from teams that were in Regional, Super Regional, and the CWS last year. We also return a familiar face in
Tristan Moore who was the Southland Hitter of the year in 2023."
