NEW ORLEANS – For the fifth straight season the University of New Orleans golf team will head to Jonesboro, Ark. for the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament is hosted by Arkansas State at a RidgePointe Country Club.
This week's tournament will be the 18
th time at RidgePointe Country Club for UNO golf with the first appearance coming in 1997. The Privateers won the 2006 ASU Indian Classic with a score of 895. Two seasons ago New Orleans finished with a score of 855 - their lowest team score both at RidgePointe Country Club, and the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate.
Mason Roberts (2023), and
Matt Weber (last season) share the individual Privateer scoring record at RidgePointe Country Club after both finished with scores of 214.
FORMAT
The teams will play 36 holes of golf on Monday, and 18 on Tuesday. Rounds one and two will feature the shotgun format with tee time at 8:00 a.m. The third round will start at 7:45 a.m. and start at holes #1 and #10.
The following schools are confirmed to compete in the event:
Arkansas State (hosts), Bellarmine, Central Arkansas, East Texas A&M, Evansville, Lindenwood, Murray State, Oklahoma Christian, Southeastern, Tennessee State, and UT-Martin.

Tom Watson finished inside the top 25 at the Sandestin Collegiate Classic a week ago. As a team the Privateers finished strong with a 1-under par score of 283 during the final round giving them three round total of 864.

Senior
Maximilian Wojciechowski's 2-under-par final round bumped the University of New Orleans golf team up two spots on the final day – good for an eighth place finish. Max made thirteen pars in a row to open the final round, before adding a birdie and an eagle. UNO made three eagles during the tournament to co-lead the field.
