Challenging Schedule Awaits New Orleans Golf This Season

2025-2026 GOLF SCHEDULE | JOIN THE PRIVATEER LINKS CLUB

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans golfers will play four tournaments this fall and another five in the spring, as Head Coach Jeff Lorio has scheduled a challenging campaign for this season's golf team.

Things start off on Sept. 15-16 with a trip to Memphis, Tenn., for the Grover Page Classic. The appearance will be the seventh time at the Grover Page Classic for the Privateers since 2015-16, but the first at the Links at Audubon. The following week the team will make the trip to Miramar Beach, Fla., for the Sandestin Collegiate on Sept. 22-23. It will be the first appearance at the event and at The Raven Golf Club for UNO.

Another familiar event and course kick off October with a trip to the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate at RidgePointe Country Club on Oct. 6-7. It will be the fifth straight season for UNO in the Bubba Barnett. A week later the team will travel to Killen, Ala., for the Turtle Pointe Invite. That trip marks the first time UNO will play at Turtle Pointe Yacht and Country Club since 2011. The fall portion of the schedule concludes with another familiar trip: the LaTOUR Intercollegiate on Oct. 20-21.

Spring begins with UNO hosting the Gulf Coast Collegiate for the seventh year in a row on Feb. 24-25. After two years at English Turn, this year's tournament will take place on the South Course of Bayou Oaks at City Park. For the first time in school history, UNO played an A and a B team at last season's event, finishing 11th and 7th.

The Colin Montgomerie Invitational on March 3-4 will take place at Sweetwater Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas. It will be the seventh straight season at the Colin Montgomerie for the Privateers, but just the second time at Sweetwater Country Club.

The Mobile Bay Intercollegiate on the Falls Course at Magnolia Grove wraps up the March portion of the schedule for New Orleans on March 30-31. UNO has played at Magnolia Country Club twice—in 1993 and last season.

New Orleans returns to True Blue Golf Club in Pawleys Island, S.C., for the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge April 6-8. UNO has played in the Golfweek Fall Challenge three times in the past four seasons. The final tournament of the regular season is the ASU Spring Classic on April 13-14—the second time New Orleans will play at RidgePointe Country Club this season.

The Southland Conference Championship takes place this year in Kerrville, Texas, on Comanche Trace's Hills and Valley courses. The Privateers have three top-three finishes in the past four Southland Championships. The final day of the Southland Championship will air on ESPN+.

The Privateers return seven golfers from last season, including two of last season's top four: Tom Watson and Taylor Boasberg. Junior transfer Matthew Lotz joins Coach Lorio's squad after playing in four tournaments over the last two seasons for Louisiana.
